Natural Packaging Certificate

It is of great importance that the packaging on the products has properties that do not harm the nature. It is not enough that only the product is natural and its packaging is expected to be natural. In particular, the use of natural products and packaging is increasing for the improvement and healing of the deteriorated ecological balance. In this regard, the European Union established certain standards in 1992 and passed the certification system. In our country, these standards are fully implemented.

All manufacturers have assumed certain responsibilities regarding packaging waste. It is the responsibility of all manufacturers to fulfill these responsibilities. The main purpose of the packaging is to protect the product placed in a healthy way and deliver it to the end consumer in its most natural form. It is possible to reliably protect, store and transport the products thanks to its well-made packaging. There are basically two important criteria regarding the packaging of the products. The first is to safely protect the product in it. Another important point is that when they are thrown away, they disappear very quickly in nature. Plastic packaging made up of chemicals under normal conditions does not disappear in nature for many years. This causes the ecological balance to deteriorate. It is the ultimate goal of natural packaging certification standards, which is easily destroyed in nature and easy to recycle.

What is Natural Packaging Certificate?

Packaging appears in every aspect of our life and is generally dangerous. It is an indispensable requirement for nature that the packaging that protects the products against risks such as wetting, crashing and deterioration is natural. Unnatural packaging carries serious risks for nature and the environment. It is desired to produce packaging products from natural materials in EU standards. For this, the application of natural packaging certificate was put into practice. It is understood with this certificate whether the packages produced by the manufacturer companies for their products are natural. Natural packaging certificate can be obtained as a result of certain standards, applications and processes.

Packages can be of different materials. The most dangerous for nature is plastic, which is the longest to be destroyed and recycled. Apart from plastic, packaging materials such as wood, glass, paper and metal are also used. In this regard, manufacturer companies should be very careful and meticulous. States must also be lawmakers, supervisors and regulators in this regard. It should be remembered that natural resources will be exhausted rapidly and the ecological balance will be further deteriorated if the necessary sensitivity is not shown in such matters.

Natural Packaging Certificate Certification Process

As in European countries, various laws and regulations related to packaging products are applied in our country. It is strictly prohibited to use packaging products that are difficult to be destroyed in nature and cannot be recycled. Recently, the use of bioplastic materials with renewable properties in packaging products is encouraged.

Businesses that want to obtain a natural packaging certificate must apply to the certification company for this. It is the application for natural packaging certificate that must be made in the first place. Immediately after this, there will be a mutual natural packaging material contract between the certification company and the related company. This contract will take place immediately after the preliminary assessment of the certificate company. After the contract, the company must deliver a sample product to the certificate company. As a result of the examination of the sample product, testing and analysis, the natural packaging certificate approval process is initiated. Analyzes made during the approval process are evaluated and decisions are made according to these evaluations. For packaging materials produced from natural materials, a natural packaging certificate is issued. Companies that have this certificate provide an advantage in the sector and market share. It also takes over all the right to use the products.

Companies that prove that their products and services comply with the Ekomark © Standard criteria in terms of human health and environmental protection are allowed to use the Ekomark © Label in these products and services.
